Add a widget to your Home Screen

  1. Open Vidgets once. In Widgets, choose a widget, customize it, and select a size.
  2. Return to the Home Screen. Touch and hold an empty area until the icons jiggle.
  3. Tap Edit > Add Widget (or the add button on your iOS version), then search for Vidgets.
  4. Swipe to the widget and size you want. Tap Add Widget, then Done.
  5. For a connected widget, hold it, choose Edit Widget, and select the same Collection you personalized in Vidgets. Countdown, photo/note, Last done, and Quick counter can also pin a saved item. Tap outside to finish.

The picker includes 12 widget types: Photo & note, Next good thing, Three priorities, Focus timer, Daily progress, Quote of the Hour, Mood Tracker, Habit check-in, Last done, Quick counter, Next priority, and Month at a glance. Each comes in small and medium sizes.

iOS places widgets through its own picker. Vidgets cannot automatically install widgets, rearrange your icons, or apply a wallpaper.

You can also open the illustrated guide from Vidgets or read Apple's widget instructions.

One set. Connected progress.

Vidgets links your priorities, focus timer, daily progress, countdown, photo/note, habits, last-done items, counters, and month view through a shared collection. A matching set is more than matching colors.

  1. Create a set in My Sets, add up to three priorities for the day, and choose a look.
  2. Start focus on a priority from its editor or the medium priorities widget.
  3. Pause, resume, or end the timer in the app or widget. Only actual, unpaused focus time contributes to your progress.
  4. Open Focus by priority in My Sets to see where today's focus went. The breakdown uses the same records as Daily progress.

Task completion stays intentional: finishing a timer does not mark a priority done. Break time does not count toward your focus goal. Quote and Mood use separate app-wide preferences rather than a collection.

Common questions

Where is the guided app tour?

On first launch, finish the welcome screens to start the guided app tour. Both flows can be skipped. Replay it anytime from Settings > Guided app tour, or use the widget library's tour button until you finish it. The optional five-step tour lets you preview widgets, try a theme, practice a sample check-off, and open the real Home Screen setup guide. Practice does not add sample records or change your saved set. The separate five-page welcome tour can also be replayed from Settings.

How do I rename or delete a set?

In My Sets, open the selector showing your current set's name. Choose Edit set to rename it or change its theme without losing content. Choose Delete set and confirm to remove only that set's saved content, check-in history, focus history, and unused imported photo copies. Its active timer ends; other sets and app-wide preferences are kept. At least one set must remain. Edit any Home Screen widgets using the deleted set to choose another collection.

How do Habit check-in and its history work?

Customize Habit check-in, add habits, and choose their weekdays. Check off habits in the app or widget. Today's completed habits stay visible; the widget shows up to three scheduled habits in saved order. Create separate sets for morning and evening routines. Open Vidgets for the last seven days of check-ins. Each new local day starts unchecked without erasing previous check-ins.

What does Last done count?

It counts local calendar days since the date you saved, not 24-hour periods. Tap Did it to log an item now. Undo restores the previous date after an accidental tap. Hold a widget and choose Edit Widget > Pinned item to select one item from its collection.

How do Quick counter targets and resets work?

Counters are manual, not Health measurements. Plus and minus change a count; your personal target does not cap it. Daily counters start at zero each local day, while all-time counters keep their value. Open a counter's editor to reset or delete it. Use Edit Widget > Pinned counter to select one counter from its collection.

Are Next priority and the month view connected?

Next priority shows the first unfinished item from today's Three priorities in the same set. Done reveals the next item; undo completion in Vidgets. The medium widget can start an attached focus session too. Month at a glance marks your locally saved countdown moments and does not read your system calendar.

Vidgets is missing from the widget picker

Open the installed app once, return to the Home Screen, and search again. Allow a moment for iOS to list the widgets. If it is still missing, contact support with your device and iOS version. Vidgets currently requires iOS 18.2 or later.

My widget has the wrong content or style

Hold the widget, tap Edit Widget, and check its Collection. Browsing another set in the app does not change an already configured widget. Check any pinned item too. Quote and Mood use their own preferences in Vidgets Settings.

My widget or quote has not refreshed

Open Vidgets to confirm the saved content and collection. iOS controls widget refresh timing and may delay updates. Quotes are scheduled to rotate hourly, not guaranteed to switch at an exact second. If necessary, remove and re-add the widget.

How does the timer work when the app is closed?

The timer uses saved timestamps, not a continuously running background process. Reopening reconciles elapsed time. Pause and break intervals do not count as focus. Only one timer can run across all collections. Changing your device clock can affect a running timer.

I am not receiving timer notifications or Live Activities

Check both Vidgets Settings and your device's notification or Live Activity permissions. Focus modes and other system settings can affect presentation. Timers still work without these features. A finished Live Activity may remain until iOS updates it or you reopen Vidgets.

Does Mood keep a history or provide health advice?

No. It displays your most recently selected mood until you change it. It does not keep a daily mood journal, read Health data, or provide medical advice.

Can I restore a JSON export or sync across devices?

Not in this version. JSON exports omit image files and separate Quote/Mood preferences. There is no in-app import or developer-operated cloud sync. Device backups are handled separately by your operating system.

Does Vidgets need an account or subscription?

This version has no account, in-app purchases, subscription, or paywall. The features included in the app are available without signing in.

Report an issue

Email admin@technoforbes.com with your app version (shown in Settings), device model, iOS version, widget type and size, and the steps that led to the issue.

A screenshot can help, but hide any private notes, photos, or priorities first. Do not send passwords or a full data export unless it is needed and you are comfortable sharing it. We do not automatically receive your app data or device logs.

If the email button does not open a mail app, enter the address in your preferred email service.

Manage your data

Your widget content is stored on your device. Edit or remove individual priorities, notes, countdowns, habits and their check-ins, last-done items, and counters in the app. For one set, open its selector in My Sets > Delete set and confirm. To reset all local content, open Settings > Delete app data and confirm. This clears collections, sessions, imported photo copies, and Quote/Mood preferences.

This does not delete original photos, copies you already shared, device backups, or support emails. Remove widgets if you need previously displayed content hidden immediately while iOS refreshes. For a privacy request about information sent to support, use the same email address.
