Patna: City Guide is offline-first, private by design, and does not require an account.

Does the city guide work offline?

Yes. The core guide, search, itineraries, place details, essential contacts and your saved list work without an internet connection. The Atlas uses Apple Maps, so live map imagery, directions and nearby searches may require a connection.

Why is the Atlas map blank or incomplete?

First check that your device is online and Apple Maps is working. Then close and reopen the app. The guide’s curated place information remains available offline even when live map imagery cannot load.

Do I have to share my location?

No. Location is optional and is requested only after you tap Near Me in Explore or tap the Atlas location button. Near Me uses a one-time location in memory to sort bundled places by distance; Atlas uses it to show your position and recenter the map. The app does not save your location or send it to the developer. Every guide place and category remains browsable if you decline.

How do I change location permission?
  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Choose Privacy & Security, then Location Services.
  3. Select Patna and choose the permission you prefer.
Where are favourites and visited places stored?

They are stored privately on your device and are not synced to an account. Deleting the app removes this local information, and it cannot be recovered by support.

Why did Directions open the Maps app?

That is expected. Atlas helps you discover curated Patna places on an Apple map, while turn-by-turn directions and nearby searches open in Apple Maps.

How do I find my app and iOS versions?

For the app version, open Settings, choose General, then iPhone Storage or iPad Storage, and select Patna. Your iOS version appears under Settings → General → About.

How can I suggest a place or correct information?

Email admin@technoforbes.com with the place name, the detail that should change, and a current official source when possible. Hours, fees, phone numbers and transport details can change, so same-day confirmation is always recommended.
