CloudNav Privacy Policy

Private location tools, built to stay on your device.

CloudNav is an offline-first GPS utility for live coordinates, altitude, speed, heading, accuracy, saved locations, maps, and emergency-ready coordinate messages. This policy explains how the app handles that information.

Overview

CloudNav is designed to be private by default. The app does not require an account, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not save your location data to CloudNav servers.

CloudNav uses information available on your device so it can provide precise GPS features, including live coordinates, altitude, speed, heading, accuracy, local saved locations, an interactive map view, coordinate copying and sharing, and emergency-ready location messages.

Information CloudNav handles

CloudNav may handle the following information on your device when you use the app:

Live GPS data Latitude, longitude, altitude, speed, heading, and location accuracy.
Saved locations Locations you choose to save, organize, search, copy, or view in the app.
Shared details Coordinate messages or location details you choose to copy or share outside the app.
App preferences Settings such as coordinate format, including decimal or degrees-minutes-seconds.

How CloudNav uses this information

CloudNav uses location-related information only to provide the features you request inside the app. This includes showing your current position, displaying altitude, speed, heading, and accuracy, saving locations locally, viewing saved locations on a map, generating emergency-ready coordinate messages, and helping you copy or share coordinates.

CloudNav does not use your location information for advertising, user profiling, resale, or cross-app tracking.

Storage and sharing

Local storage

Saved locations, logbook entries, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. CloudNav does not upload this information to CloudNav servers.

User-controlled sharing

When you copy coordinates, create an emergency-ready message, or share location details, the information leaves CloudNav only through the action you choose. The destination app, message service, or recipient may handle that information under their own privacy practices.

Device and platform services

CloudNav relies on your device operating system for location permission and location services. Map display or system-level services may be handled by your device platform and are subject to the privacy settings and policies that apply to your device.

Location permission

CloudNav needs location permission to provide live GPS data. You can grant, deny, or revoke location access from your device settings at any time. If location access is disabled, GPS features such as live coordinates, altitude, speed, heading, accuracy, and nearby map display may not work as expected.

Your choices and data control

  • You can choose whether to allow location access through your device settings.
  • You can decide which locations to save in CloudNav.
  • You can remove saved locations from the app when you no longer need them.
  • You can choose when to copy, share, or send coordinate details outside the app.

Children's privacy

CloudNav does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because CloudNav does not require accounts and does not store user data on CloudNav servers, the app is designed to minimize the information it handles. Parents or guardians can manage location access through device settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy when CloudNav changes or when privacy requirements evolve. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
